Senator Introduces Anti Social Media Addiction Bill

A new Senate Bill calls for a crackdown on social media. Senator Josh Hawley introduced the smart act this week. It bans practices used to keep users engaged, like Youtube’s autoplay or Snapchats Snapstreaks. It would also automatically limit a users time on a platform to 30 minutes a day. A user could change or remove the time limit but it would reset every month.
