CHESTER, S.C. — Police say they are investigating after a man was shot Wednesday in Chester. Officers responded to Jeter Street on September 4th and found 30-year-old Stanley Strong suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Strong was taken to a local hospital where he received treatment for his injuries. No arrests have been made in the case and police are asking anyone who might have information about this shooting to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-CRIMESTOPPERS.
This is the second shooting in Chester in two days. Officers say they were called to the area of York Street and Brawley Street on September 3rd in reference to shots being fired.
A short time later, officers were notified that a victim from the shooting was at MUSC Chester. The victim, 36-year-old Andrew Johnson, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Get more details about this deadly shooting HERE.
