‘Over The Edge’ Fundraising Event To Be Held Tuesday, Wednesday In Uptown

CHARLOTTE, NC — The second-annual “Over the Edge” two-day rappelling fundraising event to support healthcare and education services for economically-challenged children in the Charlotte region will take place Tuesday, Sept. 24 and Wednesday, Sept. 25.

The event will begin Tuesday at 1pm with an opening ceremony on the NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza located at 400 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard followed by a group of NASCAR and local personalities being the first to rappel 10 stories down from the roof of the Embassy Suites Uptown Charlotte.

Additional rappels from NASCAR personalities and community members will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 9:30am – 4:30pm.

Advance registration is still available online at CharlotteOvertheEdge.org. On-site registration is also an option and donations will be accepted during the event. Registered participants must raise a minimum of $1,000 in donations to earn a spot in the rappelling lineup.

  • Vinnie Miller, NASCAR Xfinity Series driver
  • Ross Chastain, NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series driver
  • Jordan Anderson, NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series driver
