Casey Parsons Pleads Guilty to Fraud Charges

SALISBURY, NC — The adoptive mother of a missing Salisbury girl faces a maximum 200 years in prison for federal fraud charges.

Casey Parsons pleaded guilty to 15 charges Wednesday, including conspiracy to defraud the government and mail fraud.  Casey and her husband Sandy are accused of taking government money on Erica Parson’s behalf after she disappeared.  

No one has seen her since 2011.  Her adopted brother reported her missing in August of 2013.  Casey Parsons will be sentenced in February.  Charges against her husband are still pending.
