CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte residents showed support Monday night for the kidnapped Nigerian school girls and their families. Dozens gathered for a #BringBackOurGirls rally in Marshall Park. It’s been more than a month since nearly 300 girls were taken from a village in Northeast Nigeria.
“The purpose today is to educate everybody on the actions and steps we can take, which is signing a petition, going to your local government, writing your senators,” said rally organizer Kevin Winston.
Girls across the world will participate in a global school girl march on May 22.
