GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A Gaston County assistant principal has been arrested and charged with sex offenses involving a student.
The Gaston County Sheriff’s Office says 34-year-old Lisa Rothwell is charged with six felony counts of a sex offense with a student.

Rothwell was previously listed as an assistant principal at Stuart W. Cramer High School in Cramerton, North Carolina. Reports indicate Rothwell has been suspended with pay.
She is currently being held at the Gaston County Jail under a $1 million dollar bond.
The case is still under investigation and more information will be released as it develops.
