BOONE, N.C. — The Appalachian State football team has been ranked in the AP Top 25 Poll for the second time in school history.
App State defeated Louisiana-Lafayette on October 9th by a score of 17-7 and moved to 5-0 overall with a 2-0 Sun Belt conference record.
The Mountaineers received 148 votes which earned them the 24th spot in the AP Top 25 Poll. The team was ranked 25th last year while they were 5-1 but lost the game the following week to Georgia Southern which knocked them out of the rankings.
App State will take on the UL Monroe Warhawks on October 19th at Kidd Brewer Stadium.
