CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Troopers say two CMPD officers were injured after being involved in a wreck on I-485 near Beatties Ford Road in north Charlotte.
The accident happened on the outer loop of I-485 around 9 a.m. Investigators say Officer Rhonda Anderson and Officer John Locklear had pulled their patrol vehicle over on the side of the road to investigate an accident.
A short time later another vehicle lost control, hit a tractor trailer truck and then ran into the police cruiser.
MEDIC says the officers have non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle was also taken to a local hospital but is expected to be okay.
