CHARLOTTE,NC–Thousands packed movie theaters in Charlotte for a sneak peek at the new movie ‘Son Of God’.
The film is based on the New Testament Gospels and follows the life of Jesus.
The movie officially hits screens Friday the 28th, but five local church’s bought 27 movie screens for Thursday nights sold-out showings.
Movie goers say they’re trying to send Hollywood a message about the high demand for Christian films.
‘Son Of God’ is the first of several high profile movies based on the bible and religious best sellers scheduled to be released this year.
