CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — A 19-year-old woman is in serious condition after being shot in the face in Hickory on Monday night.
Catawba County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting on 19th Avenue SW in Hickory at about 8:53 p.m. on Monday night.
Arriving deputies found the 19-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to her face. She was taken to Carolina’s Medical Center in Charlotte, where she is in serious but stable condition.
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested for the shooting and is currently being held at the Office of Juvenile Justice.
