UPDATE: Iredell County Father Accused of Killing Two Young Sons Dies From Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound

UPDATE:  Shawn Fuller, the Iredell County father who is accused of killing his two young sons before turning the gun on himself has died.  Fuller had been in critical condition at CMC since the shooting on August 9th.

STATESVILLE, NC – An Iredell County father is accused of killing his two young sons, then turning the gun on himself. Investigators say the two boys, ages three and four, were found dead inside a home on Trent Road around 3:30 Sunday morning.

Investigators believe their father, who neighbors identify as Shawn Fuller, was drunk when he shot them. Neighbors are not just upset, but are angry.

Investigators found the boys’ father outside the house, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He’s now at CMC in critical condition.

Kenny Klonaski heard the gunshots early Sunday morning. “How could you walk in there and shoot your own kids? How can you?” he asks. “I’m just so sad that this really happened.”

Debbie Tucker says she’d often see the family walking up the street. The kids would stop to play in her yard. “We’d just talk to ’em. The momma and daddy. And talk to the kids. They were good little boys. Couldn’t ask for better children,” Tucker says.
