Woman Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle On Providence Road

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Providence Road Sunday afternoon.

Investigators with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department say 52-year-old Rhonda Cook was struck by a vehicle while she was attempting to cross the road on Providence Road near Old Providence Road.

The accident happened just after 3:30pm on November 24th.  Police say Cook was not in a cross walk and no charges have been filed against the driver.
