CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — A Catawba County man is facing several felony charges after investigators say they found thousands of images of child pornography in his possession.
Darren Matthews, 45, has been charged with second degree sexual exploitation of a minor and third degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

A search warrant released by authorities say some of the content contained extremely graphic images and videos of toddlers and pre-pubescent girls, many of them who were engaged in sexual acts with adult males and animals.
Matthews was given a $25,000 bond. His first court appearance will be on November 27th.
