Mother Charged With Shooting, Killing Daughter On Thanksgiving Night In East Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A mother is charged with killing her daughter on Thanksgiving night in east Charlotte.

Police say 56-year-old Elvira Alexander shot and killed her 37-year-old daughter, Chante Alexander, just after 9:30 p.m. last night.

The shooting happened at an apartment complex on Krupa Court near Shamrock Drive.

Police have not given a motive for the shooting.
