South Charlotte DMV Re-Opens After Broken Pipe Flooded Office

UPDATE: The NCDMV announced that the license office located at 809 E. Arrowood Road, Suite 800, has re-opened today.

Clean-up has been completed after a broken pipe flooded the office yesterday and forced an evacuation. The office re-opened at 9am this morning and has resumed normal operation.

CHARLOTTE, NC — The North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles announced the closer of it’s office at 809 E. Arrowood Road, Suite 800, due to flooding from a broken pipe this morning.

Staff and customers were evacuated when the building began to flood this morning, and crews will begin clean-up as soon as possible. There is no word on how long the office may stay closed.
