WASHINGTON, D.C. — The terror group ISIS says it has beheaded a British aid worker, and is threatening to kill an American.
26-year old Peter Kassig is a former U.S. soldier. Kassig was deployed to Iraq in 2007. After he was honorably discharged, he became an aid worker in the Middle East, helping wounded Syrians. There are no details about his kidnapping.
ISIS has released a video of the beheading of Alan Henning. At the beginning of the video, Henning speaks directly to the camera about Britain’s decision to join the bombing campaign against ISIS.
Henning was kidnapped in Syria last December, the day after Christmas. He had gone there to help people suffering in Syria’s civil war.
