WASHINGTON, D.C. — The terror group ISIS says it has beheaded a British aid worker, and is threatening to kill an American.
26-year old Peter Kassig is a former U.S. soldier. Β Kassig was deployed to Iraq in 2007. Β After he was honorably discharged, he became an aid worker in the Middle East, helping wounded Syrians. Β There are no details about his kidnapping.
ISIS has released a video of the beheading of Alan Henning. Β At the beginning of the video, Henning speaks directly to the camera about Britain’s decision to join the bombing campaign against ISIS. Β
Henning was kidnapped in Syria last December, the day after Christmas. Β He had gone there to help people suffering in Syria’s civil war.
