Residents Want West Charlotte Club Shut Down

CHARLOTTE, NC — Violence in a west Charlotte community is being linked to a nearby club.  Now, neighbors want that club shut down.

WCCB has been covering violence at Club 935 for the last few years.  Wesley Heights residents gathered Wednesday night to hear methods recommended by police on how to close the nightclub.

“Patrons will end up parking in our neighborhood, and we’ll hear loud music, we’ll hear fights at night,” said Wesley Heights resident Kevin Jones.  “I’ve seen people changing in between cars in order to go to the club, and it just brings up a lot of concerns and a lot of safety concerns.”

There was another shooting outside the club just last week.  Investigators quickly caught the accused shooter because he had an asthma attack.
