I-85 Near I-77 Could Be Closed Until Noon Following Tractor Trailer Accident

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A wreck involving a tractor trailer has shut down all lanes of I-85 South near Statesville Avenue.

According to the NCDOT, the wreck happened around 4:30 a.m. and Medic says one person was taken to Atrium University with minor injuries.

The NCDOT says the road could be closed until noon and motorists are urged to take a detour.
