LINCOLNTON, NC — An antenna could be the key to a deadly hit and run investigation in Lincoln County. A child found a broken antenna in the yard where 53-year-old Sherry Kittle was killed Wednesday night in Lincolnton. Investigators say it came from a 2001 to 2006 Chevy Tahoe, Silverado, or a suburban.
Investigators say Kittle’s wounds match the evidence. “It matches, just like a puzzle piece, this antenna,” said NC Highway Patrol Officer Kelly Stewart. “She had specific markings on her body that were made from this antenna, and we were able to match that just like a puzzle piece.”
Kittle’s son tells WCCB his mother’s car broke down three months ago. Since then, she had been walking to run errands.
