CHARLOTTE, NC – On Sunday, officers say they responded to a welfare check that lead them to find a body of an adult male in a creek in the woods near Sardis Road North.
The victim was pronounced deceased on scene and homicide detectives responded to conduct an investigation.
The victim was identified as Van Thien Huynh who had been reported missing on February 29th.
Detectives say they also determined that the victim had been shot.
The investigation lead authorities to identify a suspect and warrants were issued for his arrest.
On March 3rd, police arrested Anthony Huynh, 21, for the murder of Van Thien Huynh. The victim and suspect were relatives.
