CMPD: Man Killed Mother, Then Himself

CHARLOTTE, NC — Family and friends may never know for sure why a man killed his mother and then himself in north Charlotte. 

CMPD says 43-year-old Christopher Davis shot 68-year-old Francis Davis inside their home on Farmwood Court.  Neighbors say they wish they could have helped.

“You don’t really know what anybody’s going through if they keep to themselves like that,” said the victim’s neighbor Isaiah Ford.  “And my dad was thinking the same thing.  He said, ‘I wish I could have talked to them, put some wisdom in him so he wouldn’t have done that.'”

Police say nobody else was inside the home at the time of the shootings.
