CMPD, Charlotte Fire, MEDIC Look to Recruit Next Generation

Β CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD, Charlotte Fire and MEDIC want to meet anyone interested in public service. Β 

The three groups held an open house Thursday hoping to recruit Charlotte’s next generation of police officers, firefighters and emergency personnel. Β CMPD says its goal is to find people focused on helping the community.

“We’re looking for people who want to serve,Β people who want to be a part of this community and serve this great community here in Charlotte.Β ” said CMPD Captain Stella Patterson. Β “For us here at CMPD, it’s important to have people who can represent the community well.”

CMPD says it’s also looking to recruit more women and minorities to the force.
