SANTA BARBARA, CA – UC Santa Barabara has a message on it website today about the recent killing spree of 22 year old student Elliot Rodger.
The school will not hold classes on Tuesday, May 27th as the day has been declared a day of “mourning and reflection.” There will also be a memorial service held on Tuesday at 4:00pm at Harder Stadium at the school campus.
One of the victims father says that he is shattered and in shock over the death of his daughter, but he also feels compassion for the parents of a child with a mental illness.
In an online video and in a detailed written manifesto Rodger spelledd out his details for retribution. He says he was motivated because he didn’t attract women and didn’t live the life he wanted.
