Man on the Edge: Too Hot or Too Cold?

This video is no longer available.

The past few days have been absolutely delightful!  At least, during the daytime.  We’ve had pretty significant swings in temperature once the sun goes down, though, and we’re in for a good deal more of that.  It’s just that time of year, the time that people start fighting for control of the household temperature.

We had a little taste of those things to come over the weekend, with temperatures taking a dip into the 40s overnight, and back up into the 60s during the day.  Definitely sweater weather.

But the key to keeping it all comfortable: being in control of the thermostat.  They’re actually getting pretty fancy these days, with WiFi connections, learning when you’re at home, etc.  You can even set them remotely with your phone.

But there’s one thing missing in this perfect system: the other people in your home.  And as anybody who lives with anybody else knows, no two people ever agree on the temperature. It’s one of those things that every couple fights about.  It’s either too hot or too cold.

So with the weather swings we’re getting lately, we asked our Man on the Edge, Robert Wilder, to talk to you and find out: who controls the thermostat in your home, and how’s that working out for you?
