CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A school nurse supervisor who is accused of hiring an undercover officer to kill her ex-husband was in federal court Friday. Β

Fathia Davis was given a $100,000 bond by a judge. Β However, she will remain in jail for 48 hours after she makes bond and will have to wear an ankle monitor. Β

A federal affidavit claims Davis solicited a man to murder her ex-husband. Β When the man said he would not murder her ex-husband, she allegedly asked him to find someone that would. Β

The affidavit says Davis was persistent in asking so the man eventually went to police. Β That’s when police say they had an undercover detective meet with Davis. Β

Davis is accused of telling the detective she would pay $4,000 for someone to shoot her ex-husband in the head. Β Police say Davis gave the detective her ex-husband’s address, a picture of him and a $300 deposit.Β
