CHARLOTTE, NC — Do you know your rights?  That was the question asked Monday night during the second edition of Let’s Talk Charlotte in Uptown.

Panelists talked about what to do if you are approached by a police officer.  Participants said they hope the outcome of the Wes Kerrick trial will bring some positive change to the community.

“It’s definitely going to take a commitment to the community, more so than your 8 to 3 o’clock shift.  It’s going to take more of police being in the community outside of their officer uniform, running and jogging with the kids, throwing the football and basketballs, helping the kids read the books,” said Let’s Talk Charlotte organizer Marcus Bass.
