Prosecutors Seek Death Penalty in Chapel Hill Murders

CHAPEL HILL, NC — The man accused of killing three Muslim students last month in Chapel Hill could get the death penalty.
Monday, prosecutors said they will seek capital punishment for Craig Hicks. Β Hicks was charged with first degree murder after confessing to the killings. Β Police will not say if he gave them a motive.
Hicks’ next hearing is in April.
