TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) β€” Former Indiana safety Antonio Allen is transferring to Indiana State.

Allen was the Hoosiers’ top tackler last season but was kicked off the team in June after an arrest led to five charges for drug dealing.

Indiana State coach Mike Sanford said Wednesday that the Sycamores are looking forward to Allen’s success on the field and in the classroom.

The 20-year-old junior faces two charges each of dealing methamphetamine and dealing heroin and one count of dealing cocaine. Allen also was charged with possession of heroin over 10 grams, possession of cocaine and maintaining a common nuisance. Indiana State Police made the arrest after searching Allen’s residence in Bloomington.
