UPDATE: Police have reopened Tuckaseegee Road after a shooting investigation closed the area near Freedom Drive for several hours.
Police are continuing to investigate the shooting, and still have no information on a suspect.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Tuckaseegee Road at Freedom Drive is closed as police investigate a shooting that occurred early this morning.
Police say a man was shot in the chest around 4:30 Thursday morning. He was transported with life threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating, and have closed off the area as they continue to gather evidence and search for the shooter.
