The Nationals have racked up 24 runs and 42 hits in their last three games, winning two straight to climb back to .500.

DUBLIN, Oho (AP) β€” The PGA Tour probably has some interest in the news that golfer Phil Mickelson is being looked at in an insider trading investigation by the government. Mickelson says he’s cooperating with the probe, which reportedly involves investor Carl Icahn (EYE’-kahn) and a well-known Las Vegas gambler. Mickelson maintains he did nothing wrong.

PARIS (AP) β€” Rafael Nadal (rah-fay-ehl nah-DAHL’) has advanced to the second week of play at the French Open. The eight-time winner of the event extended his winning streak to 31 matches in Paris, equaling his longest run at the tournament, with a straight-sets win today. The only American to advance today was 15th seed Sloane Stephens for the women.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) β€” San Antonio’s Spurs have their eyes on a return trip to the NBA Finals. If they beat the Thunder in Oklahoma City tonight they’ll advance to the championship round and a date against the Miami Heat. The Spurs took a 3-2 advantage two nights ago with a 117-89 victory on their home court.

CHICAGO (AP) β€” The final game of the Chicago-Los Angeles NHL Western Conference final is tomorrow night in Chicago. The defending league champion Blackhawks forced the game with a win last night over the Kings in L.A. The winner advances to the Stanley Cup final against the Rangers.
