CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and other local agencies conducted a DWI checkpoint overnight in the 900 block of Tyvola Road.Β
According to CMPD, a total of 104 charges were issued. The charges are as follows:
- No License: 47
- Tags, Inspections or Other Traffic Violations: 33
- DWI Over 21: 10
- Driving While License Revoked: 9
- Open Container: 3
- DWI Under 21: 1
- Possess Marijuana: 1
- Warrants: 1
In addition to CMPD, Pineville Police, Matthews Police, UNCC Police and Mecklenburg County ABC Law Enforcement all participated in the checkpoint.
