Nearing Return of Summer
Temperatures will return to the 80s and 90s by Father's Day weekend.
The cloudy and wet pattern will continue through the end of the week, but the cooler temperatures are running out of real estate. A shift in the wind pattern back to the southwest will allow for more seasonable temperatures in the 80s to return as soon as tomorrow. Scattered showers and storms will continue to plague our forecast, but some sunshine will peek out for short periods during the next couple of days. As low pressure slowly moves off to the north, expect partly-to-mostly sunny skies to return to the Carolinas as soon as Father’s Day Sunday, as temperatures return to the upper 80s and lower 70s.
