CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives say a suspected drunk driver with a revoked license hit two motorcycles before crashing in Cotswold.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s Major Crash Unit, 51-year-old Beverly Boseman was driving her 2010 Honda Civic around a curve on South Wendover Road when she crossed the center line and hit motorcyclists Eric Hudspeth and Daniel Hagemeyer. Detectives say, both men attempted to get out of the path of the car but were unsuccessful.
Hudspeth was transported to Carolinas Medical Center with critical injuries. Boseman was transported to CMC for minor injuries. Hagemeyer was treated on the scene for minor injuries and released.
Detectives say Beverly Boseman exhibited signs of impairment when interviewed by detectives at CMC and was charged with driving while impaired. Detectives also obtained arrest warrants charging Boseman with felony serious injury by vehicle, driving while license revoked and reckless driving. Once released from the hospital, Boseman will be transported to Mecklenburg County jail.
