CARY, NC — They describe themselves as “computer nerds”, but members of a high school club in Cary, North Carolina are suddenly very popular.

They’re the first in the country to use a drone to give football fans a bird’s-eye view of a game.  One of the group members decided it would be a great way to raise money and get noticed.

“It’s been good to see something that we all care about, and we are seeing other people talking about it and realizing the effort and hard work that we put into it,” said student Alex Bainbridge.

The students plan to use the money they raised from the drone fundraiser to study cyber security.
