Taste of Charlotte Hits Uptown

CHARLOTTE, NC — Trade and Tryon Streets have been transformed into an open-air market for foodies.  Taste of Charlotte took over part of uptown today.  The three-day festival gives restaurants a chance to show off their best dishes.  Small business reps and other food vendors are also there.  Guests say it’s a great way to get to know the city.

“It’s a really great opportunity for local businesses to advertise themselves, as well as some of the more like well-known stuff, and I’ve tasted, like, some really great flavors from the North Carolina area, cause I’m from Tennessee,” said east Charlotte resident Kathryn Darby.

You can check out the festival tomorrow from 11am to 11pm.  Taste of Charlotte wraps up Sunday evening at 6.
