CATS Announces Service Impacts For Labor Day Weekend

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) announced that there will be various service impacts that riders will experience over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Bus:

  • On Saturday, Sept. 5 and Sunday, Sept. 6 bus service will continue according to the current modified service implemented on June 8.
  • On Monday, Sept. 7, buses will operate on a Sunday schedule with increased frequency on routes 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 16, 21, 27, and 34. There will be no Express bus service.

LYNX Blue Line:

  • From Sept. 5 to Sept. 7, there will be no LYNX Blue Line service due to annual track and maintenance work. All light rail stations will be served via LYNX Connector bus service. Full service will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 8th.

Additional Impacts:

  • The CATS Pass Sales and Information Office and the Customer Call Center will be closed on Sept. 7th. Normal operations will resume on Sept. 8th.
