JONESVILLE, S.C. — The Union County Coroner’s Office says Ronald Seegars, 73, died three days after a wreck with an armored car at the intersection of Bobby Faucette Road (SC Highway 114) and SC Highway 9.
South Carolina Troopers say Christopher Burton, 43, was driving west on Bobby Faucette Road in his 2005 Ford armored car, when he failed to yield to Seegar’s 2007 Chevrolet sedan, and crashed into him while leaving a stop sign.
Seegars was taken by helicopter to Spartanburg Medical Center where three days later he died from his injuries, according to a news release.
Burton was also treated for his injuries at Spartanburg Medical Center, and deputies then charged him with failure to yield to the right of way at a stop sign, according to a news release.
Troopers say the wreck happened on Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:45 p.m.
