CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives say the driver and passenger of a 2001 Honda Accord died after hitting another car on Friday, September 11th around 8 p.m.
The Honda was heading south on Little Rock Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle, and swerved into opposing traffic, hitting a 2018 Ford Fiesta heading north, according to a news release.
Detectives say two children sitting in the back of the Ford were taken by medics to Atrium Health’s Carolina Medical Center to be treated for their minor injuries, and the driver was also injured, but did not go to the hospital.
Investigators say they have not yet released the names of the victims, there were no witnesses to the crash, and no one was found impaired at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police ask anyone with more information to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
