CHARLOTTE,NC–Plans for a Charlotte streetcar will still push forward even though the feds denied the city a federal grant.
The grant would have poured $63 million dollars into the project and the remaining half being covered by your tax dollars.
Wednesday city leaders say they will reapply for the funds.
The street car was a project of former Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx.
An ethics agreement is keeping Foxx from touching the project now that he has been assigned to the head of the Department of Transportation.
