COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson says 39-year-old Roger Baskins of Chesterfield, S.C. is under arrest for four charges connected to the sexual exploitation of minors.
Investigators say Baskins distributed files of child sexual abuse material, and faces ten years in prison for each count of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators, along with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, arrested Baskins on September 30th, according to a news release.
Investigators say they got several CyberTipline reports from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) leading to Baskins’ arrest.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office, according to a news release.
All defendants are presumed innocent until they are proven guilty by a court of law.
