CMPD Says 17-Year-Old Dies In Hospital After Being Shot In North Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives say 17-year-old Calvin Washington died at Atrium Health after being shot on September 30th shortly before 3:30 p.m.

Washington arrived at the hospital in a personal vehicle with a gunshot wound after the incident, and died on October 1st at the hospital, according to a news release.

Investigators say early evidence suggests the shooting took place on North Tryon Street and the incident is seen as a homicide.
