CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The American Red Cross says they are dealing with a blood shortage. Β
More than 200 American Red Cross blood drives were canceled due to the inclement weather that hit the area in March. Β
This resulted in nearly 7,000 uncollected blood and platelet donations. Β This shortfall follows more than 26,400 uncollected blood and platelet donations in February due to severe weather across 27 states. Β
