CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police detectives are searching for 31-year-old Bianca Tanner. She was last seen Sunday, June 8, on Druid Circle in north Charlotte. Her boyfriend, Angelo Smith, reported her missing. A police report indicates the two live together in an apartment on Druid Circle.
Tanner recently moved to Charlotte from Greensboro. On May 31st, she posted on one of her social media accounts, “I GOT THE JOB I WANTED!!!” The police report indicates that Tanner got a job at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. A CMS spokesperson confirms for WCCB that Tanner was an applicant for a job with the district, but had not been offered a position.
One of Tanner’s friends tells WCCB that Tanner was a 2nd grade teacher at Reedy Fork Elementary School in Greensboro for the past eight years.
Tanner has a 3-year-old child with an ex-husband. WCCB spoke with the ex-husband. He says he has been in Charlotte speaking with detectives. The couple’s son is in his custody. The ex-husband tells us he does not know Tanner’s boyfriend, Angelo Smith. WCCB asked the ex-husband if he felt Tanner was in danger. He told us he would have to call us back.
