CMPD Searching for Missing 31-Year-Old Bianca Tanner

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police detectives are searching for 31-year-old Bianca Tanner. Β She was last seen Sunday, June 8, on Druid Circle in north Charlotte. Her boyfriend, Angelo Smith, reported her missing. Β A police report indicates the two live together in an apartment on Druid Circle. Β 

Tanner recently moved to Charlotte from Greensboro. Β On May 31st, she posted on one of her social media accounts, “I GOT THE JOB I WANTED!!!” Β The police report indicates that Tanner got a job at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Β A CMS spokesperson confirms for WCCB that Tanner was an applicant for a job with the district, but had not been offered a position.Β Β 

One of Tanner’s friends tells WCCB that Tanner was a 2nd grade teacher at Reedy Fork Elementary School in Greensboro for the past eight years. Β

Tanner has a 3-year-old child with an ex-husband. Β WCCB spoke with the ex-husband. Β He says he has been in Charlotte speaking with detectives. The couple’s son is in his custody. Β The ex-husband tells us he does not know Tanner’s boyfriend, Angelo Smith. Β WCCB asked the ex-husband if he felt Tanner was in danger. Β He told us he would have to call us back.
