CMS Teacher Arrested For Sex Crimes Against Children

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say they arrested a Charlotte-Mecklenburg School teacher for sex crimes against children.

Investigators say Timothy Olsen was arrested in Union County on August 13th.  He has been charged with third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Olsen was a 5th grade teacher at Polo Ridge Elementary School.  He has been suspended with pay according to a news release from CMS.  

School officials also say the investigation was not connected to Olsen’s teaching responsibilities or employment with CMS.
