ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Rowan County deputies have arrested a 28-year-old man who is accused of selling drugs to two victims who died due to an overdose this summer.
Officers responded to Childers Road in Cleveland on June 7 regarding a suspicious double death. After an initial search of the residence detectives say there were no signs of foul play at the scene.
An autopsy reports showed that both victims died from acute Fentanyl poisoning mixed with other narcotic drugs and alcohol.
Detectives identified Marcus Anthony Eudy as the suspect in the case that sold the narcotics to the victims after an investigation. One of the victims’ phones contained text messages where he was communicating with Marcus requesting the purchase of drugs.
Eudy was arrested on Sunday and is facing charges for two counts of Death by Distribution, officers say. More charges are expected.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Travis Allen at 704-216-8715 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
