NEW YORK (AP) — American portraitist Everett Raymond Kinstler has painted the world’s most recognizable faces: Seven U.S. presidents and thousands of luminaries in film and theater.
Now 24 of his portraits are available for purchase on Amazon. Twenty-two have never been offered for sale.
They comprise drawings, portraits and studies and two lithographs from the New York artist’s personal collection.
There is a pencil sketch of Katharine Hepburn, signed by the actress, for $30,000. She posed for him many times. An oil he created of her hangs in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery.
An exhibition of the works is on view through July 7 at the Mountainsong Galleries in Carmel, California.
They’re available for purchase on Amazon Art, an online marketplace offering original and limited edition artworks from some 300 galleries and dealers.
