
INDIAN TRAIL, NC– Union County Sheriff’s have arrested two suspects who they think shot into an occupied home with children inside.
Reports say police arrested Thorian Austin Franks, 20, and Andrew Yates Smith, 22, after they allegedly shot inside an occupied home at 1105 Robert Lane.
After a lengthy investigation police say that Franks, who was reportedly robbed earlier in the day during a drug deal, went back to the house where he thought his alleged robber lived and shot one round from a shotgun into the home, narrowly missing a mother and her three children.
It was later found that the alleged robbery suspect did not live in the residence and that Franks and Smith had incorrect information.
Police arrested Franks and obtained a search warrant for Smith’s residence were they uncovered illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and additional evidence in the shooting investigation.
Both men were taken into custody, and their charges are expected to be released following the investigation.
