SHELBY, NC — Peace of mind for neighbors in Cleveland County. Β An escaped prison inmate is back behind bars.
Hoyle Mincey was on the run from the Wateree Correction Institution in Sumter, South Carolina for a week. Β Cleveland County deputies found him in the Belowood neighborhood Wednesday. Β Above is video of their search Saturday.
Investigators believe he was trying to get to relatives who live in the area.
