CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating an east Charlotte homicide after a man was fatally shot Tuesday night.
Police responded to Pegram Street, off of Parkwood Avenue, around 7:15 p.m. after an assault with deadly weapon call for service.
When they arrived, officers located a man with a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Robert Lee Darby Jr., was transported by Medic to Atrium Health Main where he was later pronounced dead.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
