High Speed Chase Ends 27 Miles Later

CHARLOTTE, NC — A man accused of leading police on a high-speed chase from north Charlotte to Stanly County is in jail.
Demetrius Goode faces several charges. CMPD says it started with a report of a break-in on Brummit Lane near Statesville Road. Officers spotted the suspect’s car, tried to stop him, but say he took off.
The chase ended 27 miles later on Acorn Drive in Albemarle.
